DataWing ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify app that provides customer tagging and segmentation tools for Shopify merchants. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

When you install DataWing, we access the following Shopify data:

• Customer information (names, emails, tags, order history) — read access
• Order information (order counts, totals) — read access
• Customer tags — read and write access for tagging operations

We store the following data on our servers:

• Auto-tag rules you create (conditions and tag names)
• Activity log of tag operations (customer IDs, tag names, timestamps)
• Session tokens for authentication (encrypted)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data exclusively to:

• Display customer information within the app
• Apply and remove tags based on your configured rules
• Show you an audit trail of tag operations
• Authenticate your session with Shopify

We do NOT sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Session tokens are encrypted at rest. We use TLS/SSL for all data transmission. Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel and Supabase, both of which maintain SOC 2 compliance.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only while the app is installed. Upon uninstallation, we delete all associated data within 48 hours (in compliance with Shopify's shop/redact webhook).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your stored data
• Request deletion of your data
• Uninstall the app at any time (which triggers data deletion)

7. GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR requirements. We process data as a data processor on behalf of the merchant (data controller). We respond to customer data requests and redaction requests via Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks.
